- Eligible Ages: From 9 months old (for working parents) up to 4 years old (before starting reception).
- Hours: 15 hours per week (standard) or 30 hours per week (for eligible working parents) over 38 weeks a year.
- Eligibility (Working Parents): Parents must work at least 16 hours a week at the National Minimum Wage (equivalent to £195/week) and earn less than £100,000 adjusted net income per year.
- Eligibility (Universal/Other): All 3-4 year olds in England get 15 hours. Some 2-year-olds are eligible for 15 hours if parents receive specific benefits like Universal Credit (earning under £15,400/year).
