Parents Information
Information for Parents
The management and staff know that parents, guardians and families are central to the wellbeing of each child and therefore we aim to make sure that you feel involved in your children’s experiences and development with us.
Communication and sharing information is really important to us. Your child’s ‘key person’ will share information with you on a daily basis and you can access your child’s learning records at any time.
Key Person
Each of our staff is given special responsibility for working with and caring for a small number of children and to building effective relationships with you - their parents and families.
Your child’s ‘key person’ will take responsibility for meeting your child’s needs and making careful records of your child’s experiences and their learning and development.
When you have decided that your child will join our setting, initially your child's ‘key person’ will meet you and your child to know you. She will ask you to share information about your child that will help us to care for your child as you would want. Your child’s ‘key person’ will help your child become familiar with the nursery, our staff and other children - and to settle in to the nursery.
In general we operate an open door policy and parents are always welcome to observe their children’s learning, interact with the Key Person and agree on action plans to support their child's learning and development between the home environment and the setting.
Please feel free to communicate with all the staff and management; we are happy you choose our nursery to set the early year foundation for your child.
