Coronavirus - COVID-19

Feet Sanitising We have set up this page in order to keep you up to date with the latest advice regarding COVID-19 and what we are doing at the Nursery during this global fight against the novel coronavirus.

At Hephzibah Nursery, the safety of our children, visitors and our staff are our priority.

We are monitoring the situation carefully and reviewing all updates and information on a regular basis and we are making necessary adjustments

We are following guidelines from Public Health England (PHE), the Department for Health, the Local Authority and accessing daily bulletins from the Department for Education.

MEASURES WE HAVE PUT IN PLACE

To ensure everyone is safe, we are implementing following measures:

Feet Sanitising

  • We have set up Sanitising Stations at both sides of the main entrance. When you bring your child to the Nursery:
    • they will be required to spray their feet and use the sanitizing gels on their hands.
    • When leaving the premises, likewise they will sanitize their hands and meet the parents or guardian at the door.
    • Parents or guardian accompanying them will not be allowed into the premises.
    • The child will be led into the class by the staff responsible for your child.
  • The children are encouraged to wash their hands as regularly as possible whilst in the Nursery and we hope parents/guardians will practice this at home too.
  • The classrooms have been rearranged to ensure the children can maintain social distancing, This means fewer children are allowed into the setting.

What to do if your child has symptoms of COVID-19

If your child is presenting one of the symptoms listed below and your child attends Hephzibah Day Nursery, please inform a member of staff of the Nursery at the earliest opportunity and the child must self-isolate for a minimum of 7 days:

  • A high temperature, which Public Heath has confirmed is 37.8◦c or above; or

  • A new, continuous cough. This means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual); or

  • A loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia.

You do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation. If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 7 days, contact NHS 111 online. If you have no internet access, you should call NHS 111. For a medical emergency dial 999
